Old joke, but our desire for connection is a clue to God’s desire for us. Our unique, beautiful “onlyness” finds its highest expression in communion with one another. Darkness separates, but Love unites. And united we stood - seventeen warriors who took the risk of wagering everything on His great affection for us.
Love came for our deepest places, and led us to the raw edge of our hearts. To the realm where desire unfulfilled lives. Where self effort and good principles become meaningless and only His embrace will do.
Thank you men, for deciding to plunge headlong into the Mystery. You went deep, and broke back through the surface holding treasure in both hands. It was an honour to sit in a circle of vulnerability with allies who bravely journeyed with each other, regardless of how it would look or where it would lead. Real accountability requires brotherhood, not makeshift policemen.
